As someone whose own book โ€œThey Called Us Enemyโ€ made the banned list, I approve of this swearing-in for Central Bucks County, PA!
@georgetakei It was an enlightening read. I appreciate you sharing your story.

@georgetakei Cute idea. Allowing "a stack" would run the risk of stack overflow for me, but it's a fun challenge to consider what book I'd swear on, if I were swearing. Tough choice!

Looking around the nearest bookshelves, I see "Good without God" by Greg M. Epstein, seems appropriate. e.e. cummings' poetry also comes to mind.

@fortboise @georgetakei I imagine De Rerum Natura by Lucretius might be my usual choice, but a stack of banned books works for me too :-)
@georgetakei That's the school district I grew up in. Happy and proud to see that CB is still a place for books and reason. Thanks for sharing.
@georgetakei
I spot a John Green book in there. Nice.
@georgetakei Itโ€™s entirely appropriate that a Karen would protect books from the KKKarens.
@georgetakei What were the (official) arguments to ban your book? History proved that the banning of books is the beginning of atrocious times.
@georgetakei This is great George. This is the county next to mine and I watched the election closely. I was so happy when the MFL members were voted out. I am hearing the MFL group have disbanded here, partly due to the scandal in Florida.
@georgetakei Guess they banned the bible there?
@georgetakei This is a Karen I can relate to.
