10 years ago today, I started a pet project with a stupid name. Like all my previous projects, I expected it to scratch an itch and then fail miserably. But @haveibeenpwned didn't do that, not by a long shot. A decade later here we are! 🎂 https://www.troyhunt.com/a-decade-of-have-i-been-pwned/
A Decade of Have I Been Pwned

A decade ago to the day, I published a tweet launching what would surely become yet another pet project that scratched an itch, was kinda useful to a few people but other than that, would shortly fade away into the same obscurity as all the other ones I'd launched over

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned thank you for this! Very much appreciated.
@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned Congratulations on your 10th Birthday!! An invaluable and free service, two words you very seldom see in the same sentence these days, thank you so much.
@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned congrats! It helped a lot of us with security awareness.
@troyhunt congrats on still being indie! I made the mistake of selling my web business under similar circumstances (divorce and other pressures). I wish I still had my web baby, but it’s long gone and now totally irrelevant under new owners. Stay indie :)

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned

Your effort is very much appreciated, it has become an indispensable tool for me, to stay safe(r).

Thank you!

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned Congrats on 10 years of HIBP ! And thanks for all the comprehensive writing you have done over those 10 years. Hugely helpful to all of us in the larger security community!
@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned this was a very cool read. Thank you!

An opportunity to say 'thank you'. It's been such an important resource. Time has flown by.

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned Congratulations on the tenth year of running your temporary project in production! 🥳🎂

HIBP is an excellent service, and it is also a bit nerve-wracking seeing which lists your email addresses end up in.

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned Congrats! Still remember the first time I knew my email was leaked from have I been pwned it seems just like yesterday.

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned although a long read, a lot happened in 10 years, so it's definitely a worthwhile read. Thanks for the article and all your efforts.

It also reminds me, in a round-about way, of this classic XKCD : https://xkcd.com/2347/

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned Your service has been amazing as a random end user concerned about his own personal info, and has encouraged me to use better passwords in general and avoid reuse.

I am curious - in the article photo, where you're sitting in front of your workstation with those wide curved monitors - what are those? I'm trying to improve my WFH setup, and have a terrible mismatched screen assortment on my desk consisting of a couple 24”, a 27”, and a 40" 4k TV.

@troyhunt @haveibeenpwned I should have skimmed the other blog posts, I just found the home office one. :D https://www.troyhunt.com/building-the-ultimate-home-office-again/
Building the Ultimate Home Office (Again)

I was searching around for a quote along the lines of you only being as good as the tools you use and somehow, I ended up down this rabbit hole of painters quotes and carpenters quotes and stuff about artists and their brushes. Then I started thinking it sounds a

Congrats! It's thanks to you that I found out Neopets leaked my old old password
