Two years ago today I tested positive for Covid. I was fit and healthy and expected to be back to normal in a few days. It's been two years and I still can't walk 50 yards.

The only people who think #LongCovid is no big deal are those who don’t know enough about it.

I missed my mother's wake and my friend's entire funeral. I tried to go to my husband's sixtieth birthday party and had to be taken home. I've missed my kids' school events, chances to see friends, god knows how many more simple normal things. It's taken away the job I loved and the pastimes I loved even more.

I don't want to whinge on but I do think there is still a vast lack of understanding of how much this disease can take from you. It's not just "being a bit tired".

@eleanorrees I know from my MS fatigue episodes how hard and completely that can hit (and maybe similar 'a bit tired' attitudes around) but even that is more sporadic rather than continuous, so you have my full sympathies and best wishes for continuing to deal with it as best you can all the time.
@scribblans Cheers - and back at you - sporadic it may be, but that has challenges of its own.
