@ProPublica This is incredibly disturbing. Solitary confinement, even for under 24 hours, is a form of psychological torture. Nobody should be treated in the way people here were treated, even hardened criminals doing serious time, let alone teenagers! The government is without excuse they *knew* about the injustices here and stood idly by. Horrifying.

That's the problem. What the hell is the point of standards if they aren't enforced? What exactly is Tennessee's DCS doing???
