Money isn’t real. Humans are. We are beautifully imperfect! I’m a teacher. I believe multiple truths can exist simultaneously. Everything is complicated and everything is simple. We’ve been indoctrinated. It’s not our fault, but it is our responsibility to undo it.
Compassion is not scarce. I feel for the Israeli hostages and their families, AND I wonder why Palestinians held in Israeli prisons are called "prisoners" and not "hostages." Just kidding, I know why.
How do y'all make so much time to be active on here? I want to find and build community, but damn!

Solving inequality, housing and world hunger isn't rocket science.

You can tell, because the billionaires aren't interested in it.

we should be excited Millennials & Zoomers are the largest generations of voters in this country.

the problem is that corporatist Dems —the yuppie & buppie scum— think they are the answer to centrism in this country and the younguns disagree.

centrism doesn't make you liberal light. it makes you a fascist but with different tactics.

ZILLENNIALS ARE ANTIFA and that's what scares corporatist Democrats

Second day on here and accused of being a troll for engaging in critical discourse about the Democratic Party.

I wrote a piece on a #Coop alternative to Etsy that just launched, one that puts power back into the hands of artists & makers:
@coopartisans (glad they're on Mastodon!)

I didn't realize the extent to which #Etsy had become toxic to sellers until starting interviews for this piece. It's clear that artisans are being drawn to this because an alternative is long overdue.

(there's a tech issue with the authorship at the top; it names me as the author at the bottom)

If you've been noticing an uptick in laws proposed and often passed, that are criminalizing nearly all forms of protest, it's because the oil companies are paying politicians to make the peaceful fight against climate change impossible. #environment

Study: Fossil fuel industry is behind a spate of anti-protest bills

Corporate lobbying has protected 60 percent of oil and gas operations, Greenpeace reports.

How often do we blame those next to us or “below” us when we are treated unfairly? When will we find solidarity and turn to the perpetrators of our struggles?
Are #antibias trainings just teaching us to be ashamed of our biases to the point we shove them away and get better at pretending we aren’t influenced by our experiences? #Bias is HUMAN. We must be critical of our biases, and we can’t do that if we can never examine them in the light.
