I liked many of his other books, and I think this one would have benefitted from a more direct chronology.
istoff@shanselman he makes something totally implausible seem possible. I thought the intro was too similar to the Martian but you just get lost in the story.
sandy@shanselman yeah I absolutely loved this book. The Martian was great but Hail Mary brought tears to my eyes. I read it, thought about it for awhile, then read it again a few weeks later.
