Will@tinker nice! My library has an 11 week estimated wait - guess I didn’t get in line soon enough. But! I’m at a signing for it right now. Read the whole series through the library but decided to pickup physical through the bookstore that is hosting the signing.
@wilhelm - Libraries are so good for authors and get their books out into circulation and bring a lot of attention to them leading to even more sales (in addition to the sales that the libraries conduct themselves).
@tinker Indeed! Martha Wells didn’t say much about libraries specifically in her Q&A, although she did refer to getting enough reviews of your books to get into libraries as a pivotal point to success as an author.
@tinker My favorite bit of the Q&A was when someone asked her if Murderbot was supposed to be autistically coded or if they were just reading into that. Her reply was that in a way they were, since much of Murderbot’s outlook, traumas, and dark sense of humor was pulled from herself. Only after publishing All Systems Red when people suggested that Murderbot was autistic some things started to click for her…
