That’s called editorializing and “reporting” today is about that. This is why I pay little attention to news outlets anymore. In fact, I can’t stand them. But I do look for news-worthiness periodically, and, to a lesser degree, I find something every now and again.

Their C-level suite is going to let Donald Trump write them a check so that they can put their fingers on the scale.

I have no problem with Univision allowing Trump campaign ads - it's their cancellation of ads with the Biden campaign that is the tell.

Another failure of our corporate media.

Obviously the head of Univision is a Nazi, rather than up for more profit - which they just rejected. Think of this when you read “media didn’t learn anything “ or “for tax cuts and clicks”. No! For power! Of their team! I am sure some resumes were sent.

Hello, Univision subscribers/watchers, don't fall victim to cancelling the Biden for President Ads. trump is fighting 4 court cases he is indicted in facing 91 charges that will likely land him in prison. He views anyone who doesn't bow to him as "vermin", same word used by Hitler & Mussolini. He wants to destroy America and jail anyone who is in America who is NOT a citizen, as well as his political opponents and anyone else who stands in his way. We must band together to defeat this evil man who thirsts for power like a Dictator. He is WRONG for America. Vote BLUE, not red. carry on, be strong.

@GottaLaff I watched Univision Channel 34 growing up in LA. The noticias were required viewing in my Spanish classes in high school and college. Back then,they were neutral when it came to covering politics.
Now? Their corporate overlords want them to shill for Trump. Ditto Telemundo. They're owned by NBC.

@GottaLaff I stopped watching American newscasts because it's all corporate fluff. Plus they ignore communities of color unless it involves murder or crime,or someone holding a ball in their hands or performing. That's why there's bloggers and other "citizen journalists" on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok covering community issues. I'm one of them.

I watch PBS News Hour,CBC The National and BBC. That's it.

And they always interview some self-appointed Black or Latino "spokesman" who doesn't even live in the area. A "safe (N-word)". And they won't allow Black or Latino reporters to cover it,for fear of being "partisan". 1965 all over again. When networks had to bring in Black reporters from NYC to Watts to cover the uprising.

@cynthia1960 @GottaLaff That's one of the reasons I started Albuquerque Behaves Badly in 2016. Originally I covered the usual bad drivers,bar fights and other stupidity. The pandemic caused me to change the show's focus to covering on the International District,Uptown,and city buses. Especially with businesses in the International District closing due to city indifference and rampant shoplifting and drug use. They corporate media sees me and others as a "threat" that needs to be silenced.
