Since I've left my job I've been working on something for the Vision Pro 🙃 However, @warpling and I still found some time to make a fun little app called Newji!

Create stickers of anything directly inside iMessage!

Make something fun and weird!

‎Newji: make anything an emoji

‎You know how the old saying goes: if you update someone’s phone, they’ll have new emojis for a night; if you give them Newji they’ll have new emojis for the rest of their life. Pizza rat? Lizard candle? Someone with long luscious chestnut hair holding up a white Siberian kitten? All emojis now. Lo…

App Store
@warpling This is my first iOS app let alone SwiftUI app! It's been a cool project coming from a mostly web background. SwiftUI and React have a lot in common and a lot of different things going on. Working with Ryan is always fun. Be sure to look out for some creative interactions!
@robertlong @warpling I like the bold big font, but when a prompt has more than a few words, the end of the prompt is hidden. I suggest either scaling the font down once it reaches some character limit, or letting the prompt area enlarge vertically.
@epis @warpling Can you send a screenshot? It should scale the text with long prompts already. Expecting you hit a bug. Maybe you're using Dynamic Type? Which I'm realizing we still need to add support for.
@robertlong @warpling Looks cool — I suggest more transparency for in-app purchases. I can’t discern what is free (and what non-free things actually cost) by looking at the App Store or your website. Thanks
@Bracl @warpling You can see any app's in-app purchases in the App Store. The current number of credits you get for each pack can be seen in-app though. Apple doesn't provide us with ways for updating the pack description. This means when we run a promotion we can't update the number of credits in the description. That's why they're only visible in app.
@Bracl @warpling The app is also out in a bunch of different countries and may have different number of credits depending on how Apple's price tiers work. It's a pretty complicated thing. I wish it were easier but this is the state of things. Everything is advertised as clearly as we can realistically do at the moment.
@robertlong @warpling I see - I can imagine that gets complex. Thanks for the reply.
@robertlong @warpling What other app exists which lets you have Tim Cook on a surfboard?
@trevorkay this is such a good pitch 😂
@robertlong @warpling the app icon is gorgeous and clever!
@mandrous @robertlong thank you! Was quite happy when that idea struck :)
