This is the headline.

Nice job, Washington Post.

@sfdb And there’s only one thing you do with vermin, in the eyes of one who cannot tolerate opposition: exterminate vermin.
Scary. This cannot be allowed to happen.
@sfdb Forbes is doing the same about this speech of DT-45's.
@sfdb That is a good headline! I’d argue that it’d be even stronger without the words “dictators” and “Mussolini.” If Trump is basically quoting Hitler, that’s what we should know. Don’t water it down by naming every slightly less awful dictator who also used the term.
@paulinaashland @sfdb Wait, what? Using a single word is "quoting Hitler"?
@bgeerdes @sfdb Maybe “quote” wasn’t the best word I could’ve used.
@sfdb Related: fuck The New York Times.
@sfdb This is what most reasonable people have noticed for some time.
@sfdb More cajones than most other outlets show.
@sfdb this is totally deliberate on his part. Trump has a fetish for fascist dictators.

@sfdb

Holding my applause for Monday’s paper. Page A2, with trials story. 👏👏👏

Neither the WaPo or NYT app are showing me anything about vermin or #Trump’s speech. Both know what I read. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@nytimes continues to #fail

The @washingtonpost#vermin” headline makes up for this awful (on so many levels) Sunday story about Nikki Haley (“backward, and in heels”) written by a woman 🤦🏼‍♀️

Trump calls political enemies ‘vermin,’ echoing dictators Hitler, Mussolini

Former president Donald Trump described his domestic opponents as “vermin” that posed a greater threat to the United States than countries such as Russia, China or North Korea, drawing rebuke from historians who noted his language parallels comments made by authoritarian leaders.

The Washington Post
@sfdb That individual is a totalitarian disciple who rubbed elbows with third world dictators.
@sfdb the sad part is, he will feel flattered by that
Nazi-Curious Madman Currently Under Indictment For 91 Felonies Gives Speech

Trump's rhetoric, coupled with his stated plans for his next presidency, should clarify for any thinking human being the fact that he must not be elected next year.

Esquire
@sfdb They called it accurately inthe headline unlike the NYTS.
@sfdb Disgusting and worrying. At the same time, I can hardly believe that he hasn't done this before...

@sfdb “root out” - the original is “ausrotten”, which is a direct reference to the “Endlösung” (Final Solution).

Yet I still hear many going ugh! when people call them nazis. As if calling out the horror is the abomination, rather than the horror itself.

@sfdb If only there had been some kind of sign before it came to this. https://youtu.be/aqJdPc2Sb-4?si=9YY_MuD0-ozTkkeE
