Just bought 3 pairs of my favorite Brooks running shoes (Glycerin 20), because they just went on sale, which means they're about to release a new version and it will likely be worse (for me) than the current ones (because in the past they almost always have gotten worse). Those should last me until mid-2024 when I'll have to once again find good running shoes.

Maybe I should buy another couple of pairs.

@jitterted Nah……doing that means it’s certain they have already changed the glue recipe……and they will all degrade super fast until you’re down to that one special pair…….which is when the greatest show you’ve ever run in is just released.💁🏻‍♂️
@jitterted just think of the price these shoes will be in a couple years. It’s not a bad idea to consider buying more.

@cobalt I just bought a couple more using some coupons!😁

There's a limit to how much I can stock up due to them degrading over time, but also, maybe the new versions are _better_?

@jitterted you know they will really try to make so me great improvement that won’t scare off the regular buyers. Turnover is very important to sales profit. In last 5 years I’ve started buying duplicates and more of products I really like. I’ve seen so many products disappear from production since Covid started.
