@shantini dude, it’s hard to get them to realize that within 100 miles of where they live, there are people barely able to connect to the internet faster than modem speeds.
So many people in tech are so headass they’ve become human Klein Bottles.
@shantini I’m not specifically in tech but thinking about that a lot. Do they really not care? Are they not aware of it? Or is it an avoidance / protection strategy? Would it change anything if they showed that they cared?
I personally care about everything that’s happening everywhere, but if I start thinking about it too much I will just get overwhelmed and depressed. So I try to not think about it all as much as possible except at specific, limited times.
@elduvelle @shantini I think they’re* so caught up trying to “change the world” by writing code that they forget about actually getting to know the world and interacting with it
