I’m a writer, but don’t expect deep, personal shit. I’m a sysadmin who doesn’t like nerds, they’re every bit as willing to be the most vicious and petty of bullies as the people they claim they’re so very different from.

But as individuals, they’re all right.

If I say “free software” I ONLY am speaking of the price.

We’re spending an enormous amount of time, money, and effort, requiring vision and courage, to do something big where the objective isn’t to kill anyone or conquer anything, but just to perhaps learn some interesting things about the universe in which we live.

Maybe some politicians get some bragging rights.

I’m OK with that, even if I don’t care for the politicians.
