I think most 1Password users would agree the recent versions are bad. I’m surprised no app maker has decided to make a clone of the older 1Password. I’d buy that if I could migrate to it.
No, iCloud Keychain is not an adequate substitute and Apple seems determined not to do the needed things to turn it into one.
@shac what is iCloud Keychain missing? I never used 1Password so I don’t even know what I missed out on.

@shac I keep hoping iCloud Keychain becomes an adequate replacement. Shared secrets gets it close enough for my basic family needs but still needs work to be a complete replacement.

Now you’ve got and wondering if the backend/API is there for a third party app to manage the secrets in the keychain. A dedicated Passwords app feels like the biggest missing piece now.

@shac a nice combo I use is Strongbox on macOS/iOS, KeePassDX on Android and google drive for the KeePass db storage. These have all the features of 1Password, nice, usable UI and also don’t lock you into one provider. The OS and browser integration is as good as with 1Password, maybe even better bc you can store your SSH keys and use Strongbox as an agent
