THREAD 1/… #BREAKING

JENNA ELLIS PLEADS GUILTY.

Original post:

👀 Via Joyce Vance:

Jenna Ellis was my pick to be next & now, word she's pleading: As a former deputy district attorney in Colorado, Ellis should know that Powell’s plea signals trouble for her..Ellis has to be concerned that Powell will testify against her, and that others may beat her to Fani Willis’/Jack Smith’s door if she doesn’t get a move on. #Georgia #TrumpIndictment #legal

3/ Fowler, in sum: 💥

#BREAKING: #JennaEllis, who was indicted for her role in GA legislative hearings that made false claims about the 2020 election results, has taken a deal, pleading guilty to one count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings. #gapol

4th plea deal.

4/ Hallerman:

The terms:
5 years probation
$5000 restitution to the Georgia Secretary of State’s office
First offender status
100 hours community service
Apology letter
Testify truthfully
No communication with co-defendants, witnesses and media
Additional recorded statements to prosecutors

Also:
Provide documents and other evidence
Post nothing about the case on social media until the legal process, including appeals, concludes

5/ 🎻Via Kyle Cheney:

ELLIS, crying as she speaks, is addressing the court.

"I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump shoudl be pursued in a just and legal way."

She said she "relied on others" to give her evidence of election fraud.

6/ Via Hallerman:

For those asking: Ellis has pleaded guilty to a felony under Georgia law.

Chesebro also took a felony.

Powell and Hall pleaded guilty to misdemeanors

7/ Via Tamar Hallerman

Like the three others who have pled, Ellis's crime is not considered one of "moral turpitude," prosecutors clarified.

In other words, Ellis might be able to keep her law license. That will be up to leaders in her home state.

@GottaLaff Seems like defrauding the cornerstone of our democratic republic - the free and fair election - would be a deal breaker for membership in the legal profession. But, what do I know?🙄

@GottaLaff "... Ellis's crime is not ...'moral turpitude,' prosecutors clarified."

?? Let's Google.

"Courts...[cite] describe...moral turpitude: 'An act of baseness, vileness, or depravity in the private and social duties which a man owes to his fellow men, or to society in general, contrary to the accepted and customary rule of right and duty between man and man.'

Election fraud/deceit seem vile & contrary to rule of right to me - but whaddo I know.

@GottaLaff that’s pretty obscene, a lawyer actually participating in the undermining of an election, but hey that’s ok keep practicing law that’s what lawyers do in America 🤷‍♂️

@GottaLaff

Somebody better have some Goddamned moral turpitude.

@GottaLaff I was wondering. Skimmed a couple news articles and they didn't say. So, glad Ms Ellis is now an acknowledged felon.
@GottaLaff OK. School me. Shouldn’t they then lose their law licenses in the states in which they were licensed?

@GottaLaff

So next ones to plead have to cop to two felonies?

Ps — I wonder — does Ellis’ First Offender status mean it’s not a crime of moral turpitude so she can get a law license?

@GottaLaff

"relied on others"

*me cleaning coffee spray off monitor*

@GottaLaff
"Your Honor, I was told this Groupon was good through today."

@GottaLaff

What she's crying about is forever being linked to Giuliani...

@GottaLaff

IOW, but your honor, they told me to, and I did not know what I was doing was illegal.

@GottaLaff

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust (yeah)
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

@GottaLaff

It's always somebody else's fault. Spoken like a true criminal mind.

@GottaLaff and yet somehow she managed not to notice dozens of courts in multiple jurisdictions throwing out the bogus cases. Where was the compelling evidence then and how did she keep believing Giuliani et al in the face of the reality? This is far beyond the lack of “due diligence” she cited in her statement. All she had to do was read a few news articles. That should have been enough for her to question what she was doing.

@GottaLaff

Awww, little felon is crying. Awww. For herself.

@GottaLaff The crying is what got me! "I didn't do due diligence. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have represented him." Say what?! We ALL knew then. It took 3 years and a long look at a prison cell for her to know "now." Give me a break. At least Powell went down without the fake tears.
@fulanigirl @GottaLaff
It's called lying for Jesus. She'll land a gig on Fox news and deny everything in her plea deal until Fani Willis calls her back in.

@darthstar

I figured she’d fit in at Fox, but according to a post reblogged here, I recall it’s part of her deal that she not talk about the case or her testimony, at least for some period of time. I dunno, I wouldn’t think she’d be very interesting to Fox diehards without her proximity to trump, or very palatable to them without a mea culpa about selling out.

@GottaLaff So probation here while Crystal Mason got 5 years real jail for a probationary (uncounted) vote she thought she could cast.

Law justice in USA is very white-biased.

The injustice done to Crystal Mason, convicted to 5 years for an uncounted vote that officials told her she could cast, cannot be emphasised enough.

Given the ordeal of Crystal Mason, It is difficult to now see that people like Sidney Powell, who caused so much damage, get probation.

@ShrikeTron @GottaLaff

@GottaLaff is there a Wikipedia page for Trump lawyers who had to take plea deals yet? Seems like it’s a thing.

@GottaLaff Newsweek got it started.

Jenna Ellis became the latest Trump attorney to plead guilty on Tuesday as part of a probe in Fulton County, Georgia.

Newsweek
@GottaLaff
I'd guessed she would be next as well, the prayers for legal fees schtick wasn't paying out but at least now Jesus is telling her to take the deal.
@GottaLaff This is such a delightful way to start the day. Thank you for all you do.
@GottaLaff That Deputy DA gig of Ellis's was working for Ken Buck when he was DA of Weld County. And he fired her for being too incompetent to even do things like double check driver license registrations. Imagine being too incompetent for Ken Buck when he was at his height of corruption ...
@GottaLaff brilliant! Thanks for a great way to start the day.
@GottaLaff
It's beginning to look like, with all these guilty people advising him, Trump didn't stand a chance!

@GottaLaff

Shall we place bets on how long it takes for Trump to say that Ellis was never his attorney and doesn't know her

@GottaLaff I just want to point out once again that Sidney Powell is so crazy she's not likely to be of much help to the prosecution. Just a thought.
@GottaLaff She is the latest Cofeve Girl! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@GottaLaff Jenna Ellis, when confronted about election conspiracies, smugly: DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

Jenna Ellis, in court, crying: I was too stupid to do ANY research.

@GottaLaff
Helpful reminder that Jenna Ellis knew exactly what she was doing. This is her in 2016. She knew the truth about Trump. Then an opportunity arose for her to get in on the grift in 2020, and she took it with both hands.
