A review of Def-Con 4 (1985)
Love | Like | Indifferent | Dislike Canadian Scifi Horror Go! What an opening mind fuck. Not scary, just mentally and emotionally devastating. Cold War dry, dark humor. A clever attempt to show a world ending nuclear war on a budget. The, "its all happening down there and we're stuck up here." A little harrowing almost, if you look past some of the acting. I was interested & even a little excited excited by the time re-entry occurs. Things really went downhill fast on Earth, huh? This only really is funny when you see it. But I litterally paused the movie
I was gonna roll the dice on picking another Scifi Horror as a BOO-nus 👻 Watch tonight but after riding so high with Def-Con 4, I really don't want to risk a dud.
So I'm hedging with a sure fire hit.

The Fall of the House of Usher (1928) with a live score was a haunting experience.
I finally saw Burnt Offerings (1976) and sweaty Oliver Reed on crunchy 35mm was the perfect way to experience it.
And Ozone (1994) with a Q & A with star James Black. A Shot on Video darling!!!

Eight Eyes (2023) didn't really land for me but I also had a little edible triggered panic attack during the movie which probably factored in.
