I'm reading Climbing the Mango Trees by #MadhurJaffrey, generally very enjoyable, very richly written #memoir. But I was rapt during ch 22, a stunning remembrance of the transition of power, the Partition, and the assassination of Gandhi. It made me so angry at both colonizers and extremists.
