Democrats are calling for Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez to resign following his indictment.

Republicans are trying to elect Trump president after his 4 indictments on 91 felony charges.

Remind me who's the "party of law and order" again?

@rbreich Also note that Rs aren't calling for Menendez to resign. He's one of them, for all practical purposes.
@jmax @rbreich They are probably already inviting Menendez to drop Democrats and join the republican party.
@locksmithprime @jmax @rbreich probably ... Plus, New Jersey has a Democratic governor, so they wouldn't necessarily get an immediate +1 Republican in the Senate like they would want.
@locksmithprime @jmax @rbreich Both parties are corrupt. You haven't worked that out yet? Bless.
@Veron499 @jmax @rbreich Count politicians who are not corrupt, one may need two hands only. Yet, there is an ocean of difference between republicans and Democrats.
@rbreich I think both parties will do what they perceive to be in their political interest at any given moment. As a result, they both stand for nothing and this is part of the problem.

A nihilist. How adorable. Run along and take your show to Twitter.

@JohnLAlford if your post strokes your ego I'm happy for you. Hopefully you'll grow out of it some day. Get well soon.
@rbreich I understand the point you're making but I absolutely hate this framing. The politics of Law and Order were never about law or justice but always about oppression and racism. I'm not sure the Democrats really need to be grasping for that vile title. I'm sure we can come up with something better.
@daswickerman @rbreich As in "decency"? Democrats do seem like they still have a modicum of it. republicans are not even trying to pretend anymore.

@rbreich

Aw c'mon. Democrats are calling for it -- this time. You and everyone knows about his years of corruption. And his last bribery partner was pardoned by Trump.

"The Republican and Democratic parties, or, to be more exact, the Republican-Democratic party, represent the capitalist class in the class struggle. They are the political wings of the capitalist system and such differences as arise between them relate to spoils and not to principles." ~ Eugene V. Debs

Debs was right, the difference is only in the spoils.

@Richy222 @rbreich exactly. The Dems are so awful that Trump won. Time for the Uniparty to end. Dems and Reps 2 sides of the same coin.

@rbreich

Democrats have been, for about 2 or 3 weeks

@rbreich the one who decides what laws apply (or rather do not) to them.
@rbreich Only HALF the democrats in the senate are calling for his resignation and so far this lip service has accomplished absolutely nothing

@rbreich

"What about the presumption of innocence?"

"They can't be innocent. They're a member of the Out-Group!"

@rbreich I think the Democrats that are calling for him to resign, are same ones who take "legitimate" corporate money for their votes.
@rbreich haha 😂 @republicans is law for Criminals.
