Just worked a new #POTA activator who has never activated in Morse Code. He's going slow and steady with a straight key. As soon as I finished my exchange with him, a pileup of hunters started calling him *all* matched to his slower cadence. WONDERFUL!

@qrper I've encountered what appear to be a number of CW newcomers, more as an activator than a hunter. POTA has been great for #hamradio on many different levels.

@kb6nu @qrper as a newbie to cw, pota’s strict format makes it so much easier to get started and try it on the air. Still scary but it’s so structured to ease some.
