@scottdoney so we’ve had proof of concept for the atmospheric removal for years but no-one has come up with a serious method for storage that didn’t involve a lot of wishful thinking and leaky ground injection - mostly because CCS is about #climatewashing by conservative governments.

So where is the damn stuff going to be stored?

Most of the ocean-based CO2 removal approaches would result in an increase in inorganic carbon storage in seawater (not underground storage). A recent NASEM report provides more details and describe research priorities to evaluate if any of the approaches can be safe and effective.

I’m sure calcium carbonate shelled creatures will be thrilled.
