#woodworking - the act of creating and refining jigs while occasionally producing furniture as a useful byproduct #furniture #building

@frankfrankfrank I tinker with DIY electronics and it's not much better. I spend a fair amount of time playing with new code, techniques and assemblies without actually building any functional product.

Still fun though and that's what I'm in it for.

@frankfrankfrank I was in a conversation with my brother yesterday doing some problem-solving on a current build and we both decided that since the solution was inevitably going to be a jig we should maybe just spend time building storage for jigs since we're just a jig shop that occasionally produces other things now.
@frankfrankfrank The ratio of woodworking output is:
25% tools (hello, workbenches 1, 2 & 3)
25% storage (french cleats are a conspiracy of the plywood industry)
25% jigs (is scrapwood an industry?)
25% of actual thing you didn't need anyway
