Still eagerly awaiting the dates for #AniRevo πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ 2024. As much as I'd like to attend #Animethon πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦, I suspect both fall in August so it means I gotta pick #AniRevo because then my Seattle friends can drive up and see me/attend as well, just like they've done for #Kumoricon.
#Animethon πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ by contrast is a bit too far afield to ask them to fly/drive to get to...that'd be just me...and more darkly, if my country goes Fascist, seeing Vancouver πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ is higher on my bucket list than Edmonton πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
Maintaining optimism I'll make it to #Animeton πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ in 2025 for sure. Hell, I might do a two-fer and hit #Otafest and #Animethon in the same year that year. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Double Alberta Dose.
But OTOH, part of me kind of wants to experience #Animethon first before making a return visit to #Otafest πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
2025 is a long way away and there are smaller (mid-size for πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ ?) cons like #AiCon in Winnipeg, Manitoba and #GanbatteCon in Saskatoon that I'd almost rather hit before returning to #Otafest too. They're just a bit of a pain to actually get to from where I live in πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ in a single day and the host cities only have busses as their main public transportation to get around in which is a bummer.
