A question for my fellow runners: I'll be in #Chicago for a conference in early Nov and could participate in the #HotChocolateRun taking place there on Nov, 5th:

Being from Europe, I know that jet lag will torment me one way or another ...

Has any of you participated in the event and is it worth it? Also, I'm not sure I won't be overwhelmed by the 20K other runners as I'm mainly a trail runner 🙈

Any ideas very much welcome 😎

Hot Chocolate Run

@riaschissl @running I haven’t run in this particular race, but have attended, and still want to do it.

It’s a very popular run, and you get to traverse some of Chicago’s beautiful lakefront while taking in the majesty of the architecture.

I can’t really speak to how you’ll handle the crowd, but my experience with other local runs is that the community is very friendly and welcoming, whether you want to make friends, or just run alone in a crowd, all are welcome.
