Confidential to any NextDNS* users: turn it off before trying to activate an Apple Watch’s Cellular on Verizon in the Watch app. I spent hours trying to figure out why the Verizon sheet would hang when trying to log in. Let my woe save you

*I love NextDNS

@cabel Does WatchOS update occur faster if the Apple Watch also has a cellular radio rather than just the wifi and Bluetooth all models have?
@cabel Also disable it before going to the Apple Store in order to diagnose whatever damage to one of your products, after 15 minutes of trying to get one, I finally remembered and just as I disabled it, got it without issue.
@cabel is this like OpenDNS, with all the filtering options, but better?
I hated the management interface for OpenDNS, always felt like I wasn’t their target customer
@cabel mildly jealous that Verizon lets you add the watch line without a call. T-Mobile spit numbers at me and said to call in, which I really don’t want to do
@cabel I don't use NextDNS but still experienced a 16 hour delay for Verizon to activate cellular on my new watch. Had to start the setup process all over.
@cabel Great tip… I was bit by the same bug but was like… NAHHHHH Nobody will have the same issue as me. Who uses NextDNS enforced on the network level… My kinda people!
