What are the rules for counting states on your visited list? I know airport layovers don’t count. And I’ve heard that driving through and not leaving your car doesn’t count.

The reason I ask is I realized I’ve never been to Idaho and have to drive through it to get from Missoula to Spokane. Is the rule that you have to sleep there or shit there? Because if it’s the latter, I’m totally prepared to shit all over Idaho.

@chopaganda you definitely gotta shit there dude
@chris I’ll make it happen
@chopaganda because I was in my early 20s when I was checking them off my list en masse, my rule was you have to smoke weed there. My count stands at 49.
@chopaganda My rule is you have to play a gig there or it doesn't count
@drewphish I can fart “Over the Rainbow” on demand.
@chopaganda That's the difference between an amateur and a professional, Chop
@chopaganda Our rule is a meal not in an airport. Picnic at a rest stop would qualify.
@chopaganda I say park and walk around for a minute just to be sure.
@chopaganda When I was in Memphis, TN, I walked over a bridge and spent three minutes in West Memphis, Arkansas. As such, I have visited Arkansas.
@chopaganda I drove across the state of Iowa and stopped at a gas station along the way. I’m taking credit for it because I’m not going back.

@chopaganda you haven't driven across that stretch of Idaho unless you've visited the bordello museum in Wallace.

@chopaganda I count it if I drive across it, sleep there, eat a meal there (not in the airport), or was there long enough to have any kind of story. New Hampshire and Arkansas are the only ones I've driven across without stopping. Wyoming was another until last summer. Still counts AFAIC.
