I finally got to see MJ Lenderman last night. Really great. Unfortunately, his pedal steel player had food poisoning and had to leave midway through the second song. It sounded like the drummer and bassist weren’t feeling well either. The band carried on and still brought a fantastic show. Highly recommend!

I usually don’t watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics but have to say that Paris was amazing to watch.
Also, AT&T is our carrier and inexplicably has not been able to provide service all day. I’ve had to run my work phone (Verizon) as a hot spot for the family. I’d understand if Verizon was down too. My neighbors with AT&T have had no ability to text or call all day.
Been without power for 17 hours now thanks to Hurricane Beryl. 1.9 million in the metro Houston area still without power. I’m setting the over/under on my power restoration at 60 hours. We were lucky. Lost 4 large trees and a lot of large branches but none hit the house.
Fun Vampire Weekend show with new songs, fresh instrumentation, more jamming than the last time I saw them (5 years ago) and some new arrangements. My highlight was Sunflower with a reggae feel which was new to me at least.

30 year anniversary of my first
#phish show. It’s not an all time great but it had a bit of everything and served as a great entry point. DMB opener was a nice bonus in that era.
