The concept of "zero trust" is often misunderstood, but it has to do with the level of confidence you should have in vendors selling you any solutions labeled this way.

@lcamtuf when I worked at a cybersecurity company in 2019-2020, zero trust meant you had to authenticate on every data access call made. that is not what the term has become since then.
