Billionaire prime minister Sunak is telling voters the choice is between burning the planet or household bills going up for everyone.
I say stop destroying the planet and make the billionaires pay to clean it up.
Can’t imagine why Sunak would have a problem with that. 🤔
@CountBinface I wouldn't want to be Sunak's advisors, having to remind him that right now household bills are spirialling upward and the planet is already on fire
@CountBinface don’t forget he’s doing this to make today’s media story all about that instead of the dangerous Online “Safety” Bill having been passed late yesterday.
@wiredfire @CountBinface Hmm. I was wondering if it’s yet another dead cat.

@CountBinface

I wish folk would stop listening to these fossil fuel lobbyists. They've been using the same rhetoric for decades.

If Sunak and his co-conspirators invest in renewables, heat pumps, home insulation, public transport, etc., folk can afford to live a comfortable lifestyle without it having to cost the Earth.

@CountBinface is it just possible that the planet is changing because that is what the planet does. Ie. Salisbury Plain in England has been under the sea, frozen in the ice age, sub tropical and right now moderate climate. Getting a bit tired of this eco warrior hysteria.
@westarchangel @CountBinface you must have a very low boredom threshold if you’re tired of something you’re clearly totally ignorant about.

@CountBinface worse, one set of the right policies addresses both problems. Take home insulation as an example. He’s smart enough to know that yet chooses to set up another populist us/them ‘battle’. It’s the ultimate in performative 🐂💩 and I suspect will consume lots of oxygen & backfire spectacularly.

Even Ford and Stellantis are calling him bonkers. And they have skin in the carbon game. All he’s doing is undermining, trashing, dirtying, hurting. Hateful stuff.

@CountBinface start taxing the rich people properly. Let's start with an global environment tax for everyone.

@CountBinface

“Yes, the planet got destroyed. But for a beautiful moment in time, we created a lot of value for shareholders.”

@CountBinface

The corrupt capitalists are masters of the false dichotomy.

Option 3. Burn the system down.
