One of the team's favorite games is Foot Down. We make a circle of water bottles and people try to stay upright on their bikes for the longest. Once you put a foot down, you're out. And the circle gets smaller and smaller as more people are eliminated. Here's one of tonight's games. #mountainbike #coaching #colorado
@c_dan4th Fun. That is a nicer name for what we call Circle of Doom. Usually we have to circle in one direction only. The older kids start getting cutthroat and do track stands to block each other, but sometimes the winner is the one who avoids everyone else. (I'm a Newbury Park, CA, SoCal League coach)
@cmgrowell It always ends up circulating one direction or another. We don't allow track standing for more than three seconds. One of the new riders is a downhiller with a killer bunny hop; he can just hop around the inside of the circle while everyone else crashes into each other in extreme slow motion around the edges.
@c_dan4th I like the limited track standing rule. They had a big competition at one of the races and the last kids left were track standing or were otherwise too good so they resorted to simon says. Things like "simon says have one foot off the pedals". #biketooter #mtb #socalleague
