@zarfeblong Oh hey my household just did that last week too! We went the “pay a lawyer” route for time/money tradeoff reasons and we re-upped our power of attorney / living will docs as well to have it all in one place. But yeah, having gone through a bunch of legal hassle semirecently over an insufficiently testamented relative, I heartily encourage all adults to sort this stuff out.
@lea We still have to do the medical stuff. One thing at a time, here.
@zarfeblong Indeed! We had done the others before for health insurance reasons (part of being registered domestic partners in the eyes of the institution). And then it took us a year to get to the wills. :) In any order, definitely good things to think about.
@zarfeblong The problem with bequests via baroque puzzle treasure hunt is that you don't get to playtest the puzzles, so it's more or less guaranteed that some of them will be a lot more difficult than intended. We've seen this with Masquerade and the like.
