β€œThe very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.”

β€” Fourth Doctor, The Face of Evil

@guide Mr Fantastic looks different in this reboot??
@guide
My favorite of their quotes, since I first saw that episode many years ago. Thank you.
@guide
Tom Baker was my favorite "Doctor".
@guide Looks like Emmanuel Macron with a wig

The most dangerous concept to be adopted by people is the idea that if you believe something that makes it true and if you refuse to believe without facts that means you don't have faith and are ostracized.
@guide Written by the wonderful Chris Boucher. Sadly missed. I love his way with dialogue.
@guide Grateful that I was introduced to Tom Baker’s Doctor at a very formative age. My stepdad really disapproved, so I knew it was something I needed in my life.
@guide magnificent hat!

"back in my days, Doctor Who wasn't this woke blob they now are trying to feed us!!!!"
@guide

Tom Baker was my favourite Dr Who, the realist vs Pertwee's baroque whimsy.

I read an anecdote ages ago that he was working as a labourer "while between jobs" and went for the Who audition, got the part, turned up at the site with a hamper and proceeded to celebrate with his work mates.

@guide The rational person adapts to the surrounding conditions. The irrational person persists in trying to alter the conditions.

Therefore all progress depends on the irrational person.
