4am cracks of Lode Runner and Spare Change have served as an inspiration for me to finally learn how all this funny disk access really works, rather than having a tenuous grasp on it (at best) buttressed by _Beneath Apple DOS_.

For many years, my cracked copy of Lode Runner started with a text screen that read "CRACKED BY THE SURGEON".

@hyc I actually broke the back of my first copy in various places. So I got another copy, and then sought out a PDF of it. Still very well-used.
