This quote has stuck with me for over 20 years now.

I thought I could fix things as an engineer, and realized how futile it was. I am now in science communication and if I can do anything about it, I would like to teach the next generation of scientists to communicate in ways that can at least affect these issues.

Thanks for posting this. The motivation I needed to finish get this dissertation done.

@Jeggers you are right. Change of mindset is needed. Or the result will be that young people disconnect from society. Poor people in England for instance. They greedy elites are failing.

@Jeggers misinformation is definitely a problem. Scientists can't do anything about that either. Misinformation by definition, does come from scientists.
