Ayesha ChariAnyone here who went to #EFACON2023 recently? Anyone you know live reporting from the conference? What platforms were they on? Where did people go to catch up after?

@WendyBaldwinLinguaverse @carolinavonkampen @Editrix_Rachel yes, Carolina is live reporting superstar! I want to go off the bird site. I used it for the Professional Editors Guild conf. a few months ago and got no engagement at all. With #ACES and #CIEP conferences coming up next month, am wondering where #editors are gathering for any live threads to be most useful.
@ayeshachari I would say that I'm finding the most editors on Bluesky right now. I like Mastodon but Bluesky is perhaps more user-friendly and that is attracting a lot of editors.

@ayeshachari There really doesn’t seem to have been much, does there, if the hashtag is anything to go by. Such a shame. Interesting to see that there’s more on X/T than Mastodon (as you’ve already discussed, Carolina did some great posts there). I hope we do eventually manage to congregate again somewhere, because we lost something valuable last autumn
@SuzanneArnoldEditor ya, Carolina is ace at it. Has always been. Cos of the way the site works now though, I didn't see any of the threads in real time. Even with the hashtag. I'm thinking of trying out a different format and sharing on LinkedIn for the CIEP one. Open to ideas, so do share and let the hive mind know. 😃
