@ednico

FYI there are plugins that make a lot of sense on mobile: for example the Smartblock plugin let you trigger a specific template with a button instead of typing /template and then the name of the template.

People use tablets besides their laptops, and that justifies all the plugins.

@nhan @alxlg @ednico I don’t use a tablet, but when I was using #Logseq, I still found it a negative that mobile can’t handle plugins. I also think they’re going to have to make it easier to customize the appearance without having to know or find-and-paste someone else’s CSS.

But the thing that really shocked me is that you can’t access the full command palette in the mobile Logseq app without a hardware keyboard. It just begs for a gesture like Obsidian’s swipe-down or a touchscreen button.

@EpiphanicSynchronicity @nhan @alxlg Agreed and glad it generated some discussion. When made the comment, I associated mobile with only smartphone, but all comments are valid.

I suspect the reason for not supporting plugins on mobile is because of how Android and iOS manage processes (in the attempt to save battery). It tooks years for Firefox for Android to support plugins but it is coming and here there is some explanation:

I wonder how Obsidian handled this and if it has any disadvantages.
