The US has approved Denmark's and The Netherland's delivery of F-16 fighter jets to #Ukraine. But why is that relevant in a land war? And why now?

Military analyst @anderspuck has an excellent analysis of the situation, and he explains the short term and long term perspectives brilliantly in the following video:

How many fighter jets does Ukraine need?

@randahl @anderspuck Finally someone lays out a sensible, long term strategy for rebuilding the Ukrainian Air Force. The threat from the Russian Terrorist State does not disappear even after they’re driven out from Ukrainian territory.
@randahl @anderspuck Some say, that F16s are the last delivery to Ukraine. What about warships to protect the grain export?
@jenselbaek I am not aware of any discussions related to naval equipment. I would be very surprised if the allies provide larger vessels like the Danish frigates. The price would simply be too steep, and that kind of money would be better spent on the land war vehicles, artillery, HIMARS ammunition etc.
But I am not the expert here, so I will be very interested in hearing what Anders Puck has to say.
@anderspuck
@randahl @jenselbaek Big naval platforms would be sunk right away. But theoretically that could be another discussion that we haven’t had yet.
