@Parnikkapore You could keep both stations and make a Y-junction. The (mis-)alignment of the new station and the tracks past the old station is IMO a bit unfortunate though.

@y5nw I guess it's possible to turn the old station into a siding with platforms! Perhaps I just like to keep things clean 

The misalignment is intentional, as the line would need to dodge a hill right after leaving the station. Aligning the new station with the old tracks would lead to curve radius requirements being violated there.
