Assuming a conviction and tRUmp becomes president (God forbid!):
If they don't try it, then the probability of successful evasion of consequences is 0. (Consequences are certain.)
If they do try it, it is greater than 0, but by an arbitrarily small amount (epsilon).
Zero vs. non-zero: they are guaranteed to try it.
One more thing:
@bruce_korb @Teri_Kanefield @cadenza I’m not agreeing on that last hashtag. But the GOP to keep all Trump-voters within their ranks because of the two-party system that exists. The GOP know they would never win an election again if they force out Trump to run as an “independent”.
One of the remarkable things is how they even could allow him to become a candidate from the start. He’s not even a Republican with his dictatorial views.

Otherwise known as Neo-Confederates, they used to be Dixiecrats until the parties switched polarities and they became Republicans. They have always been a part of the Republican Party (the 20th century version). The John Birchers, etc. They used to be considered too extreme. The only difference is that they are mainstream now.

I regularly use that hashtag because it accepted treason as part of Tricky Dicky's campaign in 1968, never repudiated it and, in fact, have steadily piled on more anti-American acts since. (Not stopping Watergate before compelled; okaying Reagan's Iranian hostage release 4 his win -- leading to Iran / Contra that HW Bush covered up; interfering with the FL recount handing W Bush the presidency; etc)
