Things that are now illegal in the USA:

- Wearing a ski mask (because it's cold outside),
- Holding a gun (owned by a friend),
- Not remembering your friend's name (Why did the police need to know anyway?),
- Walking into a bank (again, because it's cold),
- Holding an empty bag (I didn't want to litter),
- Being impatient (Okay, I raised my voice a bit and made some big arm gestures when I asked everybody to move out of my way),
- Saying that it would be nice if the bag was filled with money (It was a joke! Honest!).

I don't see anything wrong with any of those things, but now people are saying I'm some kind of criminal just because I happened to do them all at the same time! What is wrong with this country?

@georgetakei To be fair, it takes a lot of first-year law students a while to come to grips with that point.  At least, it did in my Crim class. My prof's explanation, which I found helpful, is that there are LOTS of things that the prosecution has to prove, "elements of the offense" in Legalese, that are not in themselves criminal. For example, neither driving a car nor being drunk is any more illegal than anything on that list; the crime consists of doing both of those perfectly legal things at the same time.

@georgetakei It's not that they don't get it, they did crimes on purpose, they have no issues bald faced lying about it now. Supporters are on the same bandwagon but are safe due to not doing actually helping do crimes. Well, except for voting for them. Oh! Isn't that aiding and abetting!?
