#ThanxBiden for even more #ClimateAction

#Microgrids directly contribute to #EnergyReliability and #GridResilience, by allowing the local grid to operate separately from a larger network. The Office of Electricity has $14.7M in funding to deploy #microgrid technologies in underserved, Indigenous, remote, rural and islanded communities. This funding focuses on deploying grid-enabling tech like #CleanEnergy generation and storage systems, control systems, and more. https://www.energy.gov/oe/articles/us-department-energy-announces-147-million-microgrid-technologies-underserved-and

@GreenFire $14.7M... need magnitudes more.
@ai6yr @GreenFire I came here to say that too. $14 million might as well be $0.
@pixel @ai6yr
Yeah and if you like so many others on social media keep disparaging the #ClimateAction legislation that Democrats were able to get passed than we have a good chance to have the GOP back in charge of our climate and energy policies, but yeah there's something to criticize about every attempt at progress I suppose. https://www.project2025.org/

@GreenFire @pixel I don't think it's a criticism, it's just that we need a LOT more than society is going to deal with this crisis.

@ai6yr @pixel
Yes perhaps, but it sure seems to me that Democrats pretty much constantly get blamed for not doing enough on social media which just tends to suppress voter turnout because the message so many of the politically inactive take away is #BothSidesAreBad

So, I'm just expressing my concern that I think more people should be trying to keep the Republicans from retaking control over climate, energy, etc. policies.

@GreenFire @pixel I understand your sensitivity to this, but given the Republicans are trying to deliberately burn down the planet... complaining about not having enough money put into an area is not going to drive voters away. There's one party screaming "WE'RE WHITE SUPREMACISTS AND PROUD OF IT, AND THERE'S JEWISH SPACE LASERS" and then there's another party which is being hobbled by having to deal with crazy conspiracy folks on everything... I don't think there's a comparison.
