I was trying to think of things where I've seen both. Alita Battle Angel, but I saw the anime a long time ago, so it would be hard to compare it. I thought the movie was generally good.
If you want a laugh, do a search for "live action better than anime", and you'll see articles on both sides of the question.
Some of the assertions made me laugh- "Live action doesn't need filler" <cough cough Lost>, "Live action relies less heavily on tropes and cliches"- people are used to the tropes in Western media, and don't discuss them or recognize them.
