I've said it countless times before, if you're working on an #activityPub project and would like more visibility, DM me!

I know how lucky I was, and how hard it is to get noticed now, we all started from nothing and I get that

People over profits is what makes the #fediverse so special ❀️

@dansup I built a simple ActivityPub server for running accounts for my side projects to avoid running a whole Masto instance https://bugle.lol

Was more of a learning exercise than anything but it works (e.g. @wegotfamily) and I wrote up everything I learnt here: https://rknight.me/building-an-activitypub-server/

@robb
Oh I'm about to try something similar ! Thanks for your feedback :) @dansup @wegotfamily

@[email protected] I built a tumblr clone and then conected it to the fedi. There is an alpha for the instructions on self hosting. It might have some bugs and the UI needs lotsvof improvements

The instructions are in the backend repo readme

It still does not support polls, might do next week

@gabboman @dansup EXCUSE ME... Tumblr clone! I've been begging for that for years!

What can we do to help?

@[email protected] @[email protected] sorry didn't saw this one! Spam it? I have to do some stuff on it. there is a matrix room where I tell what im trying to do.

@dansup Hey! Not strictly an ActivityPub project but it depends and uses the Mastodon API: https://mastonews.com

It's an RSS aggreggator for the Verified Links of the accounts you follow, so you have a 24h news of the personal blogs and quirky websites from your favourite Mastodon people.

@henriquelalves @dansup Cool project! One issue I noticed is where people have verified links for Mastodon profiles in their bio it means you get all those toots as well

@roddie @dansup Thanks for testing it out and omg I actually haven't thought of that. DANG.

This might be solved by an usability improvement I'm planning, on having a "filter" button for each account that an RSS feed is found (so you can filter on the specific accounts you want to check a feed).

@henriquelalves @dansup Maybe you could load a list of instances and give the user the choice to exclude links on those domains?
@dansup I just released v1.0 of a new and full featured Mastodon API client for PHP, and a bit of exposure would be really nice 😁 πŸ™

@dansup what is the security purpose of the public key stuff anyway? Isn't all of this over HTTPS?

@dansup I've built fediseer (https://fediseer.com/) and explained what it is here: https://dbzer0.com/blog/overseer-a-fediverse-chain-of-trust/

Could use some more people knowing about and integrating with it. I even built a python SDK for it https://github.com/db0/pythonseer

Would research, promotion, and/or public initiatives count?
