In general, it can be said that a state creates the foundations on which companies build.

shouldn't we overhaul the entire way we handle pharma patents? looking at how the industry profits off the US and is able to run ads, compared to other countries, one can understand how these conspiracy theories get started.

Manufacturers took note of the fact that there were more COVID deaths among Republican voters than among Democrat voters, because of anti-vax propaganda. By charging $110 per shot they hope to put the vaccine outside the reach of poorest voters and thus reverse that bias in the next wave.
