Oh he recalls, he's just afraid that if he acknowledges he knew but didn't alert the DoJ (or later the J6 commission) that it would hurt him politically.

Can't recall the exact details, but believe it was Cassady Hutchinson's testimony that on the evening of Jan 5 Trump's mood changed from morose to exuberant. Always thought this was because he at least believed he had successfully bullied Pence into going along with the scheme.
