Friday August 11, the word is "Punk"

Song: Punk Rock 101
Artist: Bowling For Soup
Album: Drunk Enough To Dance (2002)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ajq4Ek-jChA

I'm not the biggest fan of punk, to be honest. It's harsh and noisy and I don't like harsh and noisy as a rule. I like melodic or rhythmical. (This also prevents from appreciating a lot of metal, as well as a certain amount of Oasis.)

But I like pop-punk. Bowling For Soup in particular. ...Yeah, I never claimed that my taste in music was always sophisticated. Sometimes I'm pretty basic.

Also, since I missed last #AlternateFridayMusic (when the word was "Pink"):

Song: Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows
Artist: Andrew Huang (a.k.a. Songs To Wear Pants To)
Album: Corduroys, With Tassles (2011)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWM2joNb9NE

The incredibly prolific Andrew Huang has done a lot of different things, and one of them was Songs To Wear Pants To, where he did (usually short) songs by request, or by commission, or as challenges. This is probably, technically, a children's song (I certainly played it for my kids), but it always cheers me up to hear it.

@alfvaen nice! Reminds me of the Wiggles
@alfvaen yeah, I’m with you on the Punk Rock thing, but I can appreciate it more today than back in the day. Nice pop punk choice!
