samThe #fortnightfridaymusic theme is #forsaken. I was a teenager in the early 2000's. I fell into nu-metal as grunge was well and truly dead by then and the Strokes and the Libertines were still too obscure for the end of the arse of nowhere where I lived. As it was a formative age, I latched on with an obsessiveness only angsty teenagers possess. For a while I listened to terrible music and wore ridiculous clothes. The only band worth remembering from that period is System of a down. This is their big hit.
