It’s about 1 am here in Sydney and I’m wide awake because there’s quite a big possum in my living room roaming around noisily and I’m *way* too tired to do anything about it right now.

No idea how I will deal with it tomorrow but a friend has agreed to come and help. Which is a great start.

I’ve had a giant huntsman spider on the wall by my bedhead here once and got through that night ok, so I hope I’ll get thru this too 🙏🏼🤞🙏🏼

Living with nature around is great, but ….. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Liv I hope he leaves peacefully! A friend woke up one morning a week or so ago to find a raccoon on her bedside table. It apparently came in the cat door, which is now locked at night.
@gladsdotter thx jane. The guy at the envt centre told me to watch it leave in the evening for food and water and then close the di Dow to keep it out. Alas it’s just curled up by that window and, well, playing possum. No hint of leaving. ;(( I may have to get someone in tomorrow. 🤷🏼‍♀️
@gladsdotter Luckily it was just taking it’s sweet time about leaving. I watched for hours till it finally did leave, then leapt for the window, closed it tightly, and had quite a late night half listening in case it somehow found its way back inside. Then I got some delicious sleep. 🤗
