I'm still hoping that Meta will add ActivityPub, which will be the catalyst needed to change the paradigm away from whatever Twitter has become.

People need to be able to leave a bad platform for a better one, not integrate their bad platform with the platforms people go to to get away from the bad platform in the first place.
