My favorite materials to work with are Japanese yarn dyed fabrics. I made a small quilt that features them heavily. It was inspired by an aerial picture of a Korean Steel Mill. (This might also work for yesterday's prompt, favorite piece, but really I can't pick a favorite child. Don't be ridiculous.)

@artcollisions Wow--that is wonderfully done. 😍
@artcollisions my personal definition of art is “a made thing that makes me *feel something,*” and this succeeded twice over. The photo fills me with hypnotic dread (it looks like Avostal, or the steel mill in Terminator 2) and the quilt instantly alleviates it. You pulled the most beautiful colors from a dreadful-to-me photo and made them into something soothing.
I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way. This is a great post and that quilt is amazing!
