Hey #FiberArts people:

I signed up for #FiberArtFriday emails from SACA (Studio Art Quilt: https://www.saqa.com/resources/fiber-art-friday ) I don't quilt, but I admire the pieces. There's an auction going on (This is not me trying to be an enabler for full disclosure I am not trying to buy a single piece in this auction I don't have that kind of money).

I thought Y'all might enjoy looking at the pieces.

Fiber Art Friday is a FREE weekly email newsletter featuring fiber art exhibitions and other news.

Rethinking an old #WIP. This is starting to tell the story I want it to tell. #FiberArtFriday

After a few distractions and a late start, these two are done!

I like to use natural materials that have been made with respect to animal and planet, but I can't help that I have a lot of mixed acrylic yarn too! We use it for our hats-and-scarves-projects.

This summer I've crocheted and knitted hats with linnen and raffia, interesting new material for me to try out. My fedora hat turned out a bit floppy, but hopefully next time I make a better one, still learning!

My favorite materials to work with are Japanese yarn dyed fabrics. I made a small quilt that features them heavily. It was inspired by an aerial picture of a Korean Steel Mill. (This might also work for yesterday's prompt, favorite piece, but really I can't pick a favorite child. Don't be ridiculous.)

Ran out of bobbin thread. Good time to assess color of thread as I continue. #quilting #process #fiberArtFriday
Added blue and red squiggles too. Have to stop to consider how to proceed with the #quilting. #wip #FiberArtFriday
